To its southwest, the picturesque route to Ficulle takes you first past the beautiful Romanesque-Gothic Chiesa di Santa Maria Vecchia, which houses some important 15th-century frescoes and two 16th-century wooden statues. Continue through the town to Sala (all that remains of a Monaldeschi castle) to purchase the terracotta pottery the region is famed for. In association with the local tourist board, Gruppo Podistico S. Vittoria di Ficulle offers guided nature walks though the town and surrounding countryside.
