Arguably the most lovely restaurant in São Paulo, A Figueira Rubaiyat is built around a wonderful old fig tree (figueira means fig). You can select an open-air table in the gazebo that encircles the tree or one in the indoor dining room. This is an old-fashioned steak house and not a rodízio.
Your steak or lamb chops are prepared to order. The beef, lamb and even the chickens are raised on the owner’s cattle ranch. There are many fish and shellfish dishes on the menu as well. On Thursdays and Saturdays, there is a fei joada buffet at lunch.
