Float themes can be quite modern, but probably not as wild and modern as the Marseille Gay and Lesbian Pride parade, which launches itself from the Parc du 26th Millénaire on the first Saturday in July. That parade ends with a dance party that runs from about 11 am to early next morning at Docks du Suds pronounced soood, it means “southlands” or “southerners”.
