The pedestrian zone has many street cafés and informal restaurants are easy to find near all tourist attractions. A particularly pleasant restaurant is the Mönchshof across the road from the Marienkirche. The name means Monks’ Courtyard and the food is, not surprisingly, hearty local cuisine. The locale has high ceilings, rustic charm, and reasonable prices.
