In the same block is the historic Seaside Park Hotel. It was the first grand hotel in Leipzig and opened in 1913. It reopened in 1995 as a modern hotel behind a listed façade. The rooms are decorated in an Art Deco style that some may find a bit too impersonal but is well-equipped for the business and leisure traveler. The Oriental Express restaurant serves dishes from the menu of the legendary train.
