Down Corso Cavour in the opposite direction, the Teatro Comunale Luigi Mancinelli is Orvieto’s famed theater. Constructed in 1844 by Vespignani in classical Renaissance style and dedicated to Luigi Mancinelli, a composer from Orvieto. It is decorated with frescoed ceilings by Cesare Fracassini, a painted drop curtain by the same artist and hall frescoes by Angelini.
