Acre attraction with thrill rides, live entertainment, shops, restaurants, animal exhibits in natural habitats and eight themed villages designed to capture a sense of turn-of-the-century Africa. With 3,400 animals, it’s ranked as one of the top zoos in the country. Rides such as Kumba, a 143-foot-high roller coaster that covers 4,000 feet of track at 60 mph, are sure to shake lunch loose from some of you. The “Edge of Africa” exhibit, opened in July 1997, brings visitors face to face with the kind of wildlife that roams the Serengeti Plain. The park is at 3000 E. Busch Blvd. If you want additional information.
