Established in 1991, AIM’s mission is to be the premier center and historic site in New Hampshire related to the American Revolution. Hear stories from two centuries of the families, merchants, soldiers, slaves, servants, shipbuilders, political leaders, sea captains. These are the people who settled on this downtown Exeter property, chosen for its proximity to the tidal Squamscott River and the Atlantic Ocean. Through the architecture and colorful history of the Folsom Tavern and Ladd-Gilman House, the buildings document changes that the community experienced from a vital, industrious 18th century seaport and mill town with a river-based economy to a quiet, prosperous business community of the 20th century. The musuem is the site of the annual summer Revolutionary War Days, also listed here.
