The Seacoast Science Center at Odiorne State Park is situated on 330 acres, within which you can explore seven distinct coastal habitats. Many trails and our wooded seaside picnic area are handicapped accessible. Indoors visitors will see an array of exhibits and live animals. The Center offers year-round programs including naturalist guided or unguided explorer programs for schools, visitor programs on the natural and social history of Odiorne Point and the Gulf of Maine. And there’s a superb nature shop and continual programs for children. Over a million visitors have toured the facility since it opened in 1992. Odiorne Point is the birthplace of New Hampshire. David Thomson established the first permanent European settlement here in 1623.
