If you are an international traveler, the best way to get to Hann. Münden is to fly into Frankfurt, then fly, drive or take the train to Kassel, which is only 10 miles (16 km) to the southwest of Hann. Münden. From Kassel, either rent a car and drive or take the train to Hann. Münden. For domestic travelers, again, the best approach is via Kassel or Göttingen, the latter just 15 miles (24 km) to the northeast of Hann. Münden. Both Kassel and Göttingen are located on Autobahn A7, on either side of Hann. Münden, and offer an easy drive or train ride to the town.
By Road:
Hann. Münden can be reached on Autobahn A7 from either Kassel, which is the nearest city to it, roughly 10 miles (16 km) to the southwest, or Göttingen, 15 miles (24 km) to the northeast.. Exit at Hann. Münden/Hedemünden or Hann. Münden/Staufenberg-Lutterberg, depending on the direction you are coming from.
